It's All About Style As Cala Launches New Showhome At Millbrook Park

14th Jan 2016

Many of us would love our home to look like a show home but how do the experts make them look so stylish and appealing. Upmarket house builder CALA Homes has recently opened its latest show home, The Belmont, at its extremely desirable Millbrook Park development in Mill Hill, which has been designed by Killer5 Interior Design Studio.

Samantha Simmonds, Creative Director at Killer5 comments, “A show home is very important for a development as it not only allows people to imagine themselves living there but it’s equally important to ensure that each show home we design reflects the target market that is anticipated to buy there. At Millbrook Park we wanted to create a contemporary, sophisticated and aspirational family home. These CALA homes have appealed to an overseas market so we wanted to reflect this by giving the home an international feel.

“Throughout the show home we have incorporated warm metallic tones of gold and bronze against a backdrop of taupe and chocolate. For example in the master bedroom, a gold feature wallpaper gives a striking, luxurious feel to the bedroom, whilst an elegant gold, velvet headboard is complemented by rich, textured cushions.

“As part of our brief we were also asked to use interesting art-work such as framed sculptural pieces. To some of the rooms we then added an accent colour of burnt orange and rust, such as in the living room where burnt orange cushions complement the sofas.

“The show home at Millbrook Park really reflects the themes that we see going into 2016. This year will be full of metallic colours such as antique gold and rose gold.”

The Belmont is a contemporary three four bedroom terraced townhouse spread over three-storeys.  It features an open plan kitchen/dining area with French doors leading to the rear garden, a spacious lounge with balcony and a master bedroom with en-suite shower room and dressing room.

Millbrook Park is an exclusive development of 65 one and two bedroom apartments and just 13 three and four bedroom houses on the development, which is set to become one of the most sought-after addresses in North London. The development is just a few minutes walk from Mill Hill East underground station, giving excellent links to the Capital.

Located in the heart of the Mill Hill conservation area, Millbrook Park is set to be a thriving, sustainable community of high quality apartments and homes in a landscaped parkland setting. It will feature a range of community facilities including a new primary school, and almost six hectares of parks and open space, with far reaching views across North London. Once known as Inglis Barracks, the former Officers Mess building has been sensitively restored and the Officers’ Mess Gardens has been completed and now open for use.

Access to Central London couldn’t be easier, with the Northern Line at Mill Hill East underground station a short walk away reaching Camden in around 20 minutes, Euston in 23 minutes and Islington in 32 minutes. By car, the A1, A406 and M1 are also close by, with the M25 jus over seven miles away.

Millbrook Park Church of England Primary School on the development opened in September 2014. There are also other good state primary schools in the area including St Vincent’s RC Primary, Frith Manor Primary and Mill Hill County High. Grimsdell Mill Hill Preparatory School, Belmont Preparatory School, Mill Hill School and The Mount School are all within two miles.

Mill Hill Broadway is just two miles away with a wide choice of shops and cafes or for the more avid shopper, Brent Cross with its 120 high street stores is only four miles away. There is plenty for the active to do close by with Virgin Active Health Club, Finchley Golf Club, The London Equestrian Centre and Mill Hill Country Park.

Three and four bedroom townhouses start from £924,950 and are available with 100% Part Exchange* whilst one and two bedroom apartments are ideal for investors or first time buyers and are currently available priced from £349,950
