Preston Bennett Planning team grows from strength to strength
11th Mar 2013
We have appointed Paul, 31, joining from Westminster City Council where he was Senior Planning Officer after a successful 5 years there, gaining invaluable experience in a wide range of prestigious planning issues for significant London leisure, retail, commercial and residential schemes.
With a BSc. in Geography, a M.A. in Town & Country Planning and Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute , Paul adds that important extra ingredient of the local authority perspective which will be of major benefit to our clients. His knowledge of how the process works also stems from a previous role at the Forest of Dean District Council.
“I was exceptionally keen to join Preston Bennett who have an excellent reputation in the private sector,” said Nick. “Advising residential developer clients, especially, on all aspects of planning is both challenging and exciting as well as dealing with local residents and groups who have a significant interest. After working within local government, close client contact within a more intimately involved firm is very much an added bonus to the job.”
Paul lives with his partner in Islington and outside of work is an avid sports fan. He has run the London Marathon twice for a hospice charity and plans a marathon in Warsaw later this year.
“Paul is an exceptionally valuable addition to the Planning team and clients will quickly benefit from his public sector experience,” said Richard Henley, Preston Bennett’s Director of Planning & Development. “He brings fresh ideas to the job and provides another perspective that will be of tremendous help to our clients.”
