10th Jan 2014
Joanna joins us after nine years at St Albans City and District Council where she worked as a Planning Officer in Development Management dealing with a range of planning applications focused in the St Albans District.
Along with her practical experience, a BA in Classical Studies from the University of Reading and an NMA in Planning Policy and Practice, Joanna brings with her a wealth of expertise having dealt with applications with numerous constraints such as Green Belt, Listed Buildings, and Permitted Developments. She is currently working towards a Chartered Membership of the RTPI.
“I am extremely excited to be a member of the Preston Bennett team, and look forward to gaining more insight in planning approval from a different angle,” comments Joanna. “Preston Bennett has a reputation for being involved in varied projects and schemes which are interesting and unique and I look forward to following developments in their entirety, from the planning stages through to fruition.”
With the inclusion of Joanna, the team aims to continue to provide a comprehensive service for all planning advice, pre-application and the full planning application process.
“It’s going to be an exciting year for our department,” says Director and Chartered Town Planner Richard Henley. “Last year we experienced a period of immense growth across our planning department which culminated in over 500 units being approved. We took on an array of unique projects due to our incomparable knowledge of land acquisition, planning and development processes. With Joanna’s skills as well as those of our experienced team - including Paul Jenkins our Senior Planner and Chartered Town Planner - we are set to have yet another exciting and rewarding twelve months.”
