Preston Bennett and Giles Homes - An Extraordinary Team

Client recommendations are essential, with happy customers being the most effective form of advertising. In the case of Mr and Mrs Jack and Marian Mendez-Da-Costa, the above couldn’t be more accurate.

Having decided to downsize, The Mendez-Da-Costa’s needed to sell their extensive five bedroom house located in Stanmore which had been their family home for years. They initially approached Preston Bennett’s Residential team mid 2014 to value their property before putting it on the market in January 2015. “We were specifically looking for a three bedroom ground floor apartment and when we saw Saxby Court advertised on Rightmove it appeared to fulfill all our requirements. It was suitable from both a size and budget perspective, and we ultimately decided that we wanted Preston Bennett to handle both sides of our transaction,” comments Mrs Mendez-Da-Costa. “Things got moving very quickly on the sale of our house but unfortunately the chain fell through on the initial offer which was due to exchange mid-January. Darren and Daniel from the Residential team successfully rearranged the sale in early March much to our relief and we simultaneously exchanged and completed two months later. During that time, Simon and Mark in the New Homes department worked tirelessly on our behalf to ensure that we didn’t lose our desired plot at Saxby Court. Along with the developer, Giles Homes, everyone involved throughout the process ensured that the result was positive.”

The couple moved into their new home in May of this year and couldn’t be happier. Created by Giles Homes, Saxby Court is an exclusive development consisting of just nine luxury apartments set within landscaped communal grounds. Situated on Aldenham Road, and conveniently located a few minutes from Bushey Station, Saxby Court is the developer’s most recent success story.

Earlier this month, the NHBC presented Giles Murphy, Site Manager and Managing Director of Giles Homes, with a Pride in the Job 2015 award. Shortlisted from over 15,000 site managers across the UK, the award is presented to select site managers who have demonstrated the highest standards in house-building. This is the second such distinction for Giles Homes, having received the same award in 2013 for its Canterbury Court, Harrow Road, Sudbury development.
