The market for Fine Homes is fast gaining strength in Stanmore
24th Apr 2012
“The green shoots of recovery in the local prime residential sector are a positive reality, with our recent sales of Fine Homes over £ 2 million being solid evidence of the strengthening of this important sector of the market,” said Tony Stone, Residential Sales Director at Preston Bennett.
Being at the end of the Jubilee line and with the motorway network close by, Stanmore is a favoured, key commuter location for easy access to both central London and the surrounding countryside.
“Even with the increase in Stamp Duty, discerning buyers have not been dissuaded from buying substantial houses in what is increasingly becoming a highly competitive market,” continued Tony Stone.
Recent sales by us include three of the most prestigious homes in Stanmore in the £2.5 - £ 3.5 million range. All individual distinctive properties, with excellent ‘kerb appeal’, offering spacious accommodation up to 6,500 sq.ft., in large landscaped plots and excellently located.
Our approach to selling such unique and prestigious residences through our Fine Homes department is therefore obviously proving highly successful. We are committed to offering a more personal, high quality and bespoke client service to vendors with the expert advice and valuation approach drawn from their experience in the sale of such unique homes.
“There is definitely an air of quiet confidence at the top end of the market and home owners are sensing that the time may be right to sell. They recognise that as the leading agent in this prime sector, we not only have a successful track-record stretching back some 53 years but also a select database of clients that prefer to remain low-key,” continued Tony Stone.
Indeed, we pride themselves on our ‘match-making’ service, where keen buyers are prepared to wait for a specific type of property to come onto the market – either by location, architectural style, surrounding land & gardens or proximity to certain schools and/or golf clubs, for example. Some sellers also prefer to remain ‘below the radar’ and this discreet service of matching a seller and buyer is proving highly effective for all concerned.
Current Fine Homes available through us include those in the most sought-after addresses, houses with swimming pools and/or tennis courts, those with great views, on plots up to 3 acres, luxury apartments in impressive country houses, chalet bungalows and homes with great ‘kerb appeal’.
